Storylines

RB Leipzig: A team that can score several in a game on a consistent basis, the defense was looking sharp before the break with one goal conceded in their last five games in all competition. The defense is strong, big and speedy, and when focused, it can be as good as any in the league. Against a Freiburg team that at times doesn't create all that much, an early goal could be enough for them to take all three points.

Freiburg: One of the surprises of the season, Freiburg has some quality but plays so many close matches. Rarely do they win convincingly, winning just one game by multiple goals since the end of September. But they have to like where they are at the moment, resting just one point behind the final Europa League spot currently occupied by Schalke. Going to Leipzig won't be easy, but a draw would feel like a victory. Freiburg conceded multiple goals in just one of their last five games in the league.

Prediction

Timo Werner scores twice and the hosts cruise to victory to put pressure on the top two. Pick: RB Leipzig 3, Freiburg 0
