Former NBA MVP Steve Nash is also a soccer guy. After all, his brother was a pro, he holds a charity soccer match regularly in New York and he wasn't ever afraid to use his feet in the NBA.

Well, his passion for soccer has continued. The former Phoenix Suns star, alongside Suns owner Robert Sarver and others, have purchased second division Spanish club RCD Mallorca, per ESPNFC

The club spent 16 straight years in the top flight of Spain before being relegated in 2013, with financial issues seeing the club really struggle.

At the moment, the team is in 18th place in the second division out of 22. Places 19 to 22 get sent to the third division, so the first course of action would be to get Mallorca out of the relegation battle with the long-term goal being promotion to La Liga. Whether Sarver and Nash are the answers, remains to be seen.
