While this week was the go-home edition of WWE Raw ahead of Sunday's The Horror Show at Extreme Rules pay-per-view, Monday night's biggest moments came in support of a match that won't take place until next Monday. Randy Orton, who has been on fire as of late with his return to his Legend Killer gimmick, will face Big Show on next week's Raw.

Show confronted Ric Flair, who has been by Orton's side in recent weeks, backstage, brushing off The Nature Boy's warnings of getting himself tangled up with Orton and kind words over their shared history, making it clear he still intended to deal with Orton after his vicious attacks on Edge and Christian weeks ago. Orton used the threat of delivering a punt to R-Truth to goad Show into accepting an unsanctioned match next week, setting up one of the biggest television matches in recent memory.

Check out highlights and a full recap below, including what happened when Bayley and Sasha Banks put the women's tag titles on the line against The Kabuki Warriors in the main event.

WWE Raw results, grades

Drew McIntyre crashed Dolph Ziggler's appearance on the VIP Lounge: MVP praised Ziggler for not revealing the stipulation for his upcoming match with McIntyre. Ziggler again complained that McIntyre has not thanked him for helping him in his career, leading MVP to offer Ziggler thanks for everything he does. This interaction, of course, drew McIntyre to the ring. McIntyre said he looked through both of their careers and realized that Ziggler uses people and used him back when he brought him in as hired muscle. McIntyre said that he planned to hurt, maim and torture Ziggler at Extreme Rules. McIntyre then said he didn't want to wait for Sunday and wanted a little action now, dropping Ziggler with a right hand before walking off. Late in the show, McIntyre and Ziggler briefly brawled backstage. McIntyre's promise to hurt Ziggler was more of the same, but using a single punch to drop Ziggler rather than a Claymore or any wrestling move was a nice touch to show just how much he has Ziggler dominated physically. Grade: B

Andrade & Angel Garza def. The Viking Raiders 2-1 in an elimination match: Erik was the first man eliminated, with Andrade hitting a hammerlock DDT after Garza knocked Ivar from the ring. The elimination came relatively quickly, leaving Ivar alone in a two-on-one situation. Zelina Vega tried to keep her team on the same page, and Andrade did shove Garza out of the way of a handspring back elbow from Ivar, taking the blow himself. Andrade again made the save moments later, shoving Garza out of the way of a spinning back kick. The kick scored Ivar the pin, leaving the match down to Ivar vs. Garza. Andrade made one more save, putting Garza's foot on the bottom rope when it looked as though Ivar was about to get the win. Garza took advantage, hitting Ivar with a powerbomb to score the win. After the win, Garza and Andrade shared a fist bump. Andrade showing selflessness to prove Vega was correct that the team was now on the same page was a nice twist on the issues building over recent weeks between the two. Maybe Vega's boys are finally going to live up to their promise. Grade: B-

Bianca Belair & Ruby Riott def. The IIconics via pinfall: The IIconics confronted Riott backstage, taunting her after both women picked up singles wins over Riott over the past two weeks. They then pointed out it appeared the tag match was now a singles match as Riott didn't have a partner, at which point Riott made the surprising announcement that she would be teaming with Belair. The IIconics immediately isolated Riott in the match, trying to keep Belair out of the ring. Once Riott made the hot tag to Belair, the match was all but over. Belair ran through Peyton Royce and Billie Kay before hitting the Kiss of Death on Kay for the win after Riott cleared Royce from the ring. Getting Belair back on TV is a great thing for the women's division, and likely part of the ramp up to the still-unannounced Evolution 2 show. Still, the match was more a showcase for Belair than a meaningful tag match. Grade: B-

Shayna Baszler made a violent return to Raw: Ricochet and Cedric Alexander informed R-Truth he was scheduled to face Randy Orton, not Ric Flair later in the night. Truth, shaken by the situation, was then confronted by Akira Tozawa and his ninjas. Tozawa tried for a quick backstage pin to win the 24/7 championship, leading to a showdown between Ricochet, Alexander, Truth, Tozawa and the ninjas. Truth welcomed Tozawa to go to the ring for a 24/7 championship match. Before the match could begin, Baszler appeared, walking to the ring and taking out the three ninjas before Tozawa and Truth decided to simply leave to avoid taking their own beatings. Baszler then cut a short promo, saying she was ready to bring a hard dose of reality to the women in the locker room. Baszler resurfacing is, much like Belair, a great thing for Raw. There's a lot of depth in the women's locker room when WWE decides to use it. Grade: B+

Seth Rollins addressed the upcoming Eye for an Eye Match with Rey Mysterio: Rollins opened the promo repeating "an eye for an eye" and "I know what it means," before explaining he initially thought Mysterio meant it metaphorically, not literally when he made the Eye For An Eye Match for Extreme Rules. Rollins said he never meant to harm Mysterio, but Mysterio presented himself to Rollins in a time of need when the WWE Universe had asked him to be a leader and take WWE into the future. Rollins said now he has to leave Mysterio completely blind, unable to watch his son get married, unable to see his wife's face, a sunrise, a sunset or anything again. Kevin Owens then interrupted the promo, saying he expected Mysterio to pick a last man standing or cage match, but Rollins is "such a scumbag" that he was able to make Mysterio go to an unbelievably dark place. Owens then presented Rollins with an eye patch. Rollins called out Murphy to take care of Owens, but Aleister Black attacked Murphy from behind. Rollins' promo work remains strong, even in the face of the most bizarre match stipulation in WWE history. Grade: B

Murphy vs. Aleister Black ended in a no contest: The match started after the brawl during the Rollins promo segment. Rollins and Owens stayed at ringside while Murphy and Black had their standard hard-hitting showdown. Black drilled Murphy with Black Mass early in the match, but as he was going for the pin, Rollins pulled Murphy out of the ring, causing the disqualification. As Rollins was in the ring with Murphy after the match, Rey Mysterio's music hit with Rollins trapped by Owens and Black, leading directly into Rollins' match with Owens.

Kevin Owens def. Seth Rollins via pinfall: Rollins tried to escape the ring early in the match, but the ring was surrounded by Aleister Black, Rey and Dominick Mysterio. Rollins begged Owens to show him mercy, but ate a series of stomps in the corner for his trouble. Rollins tried to beg off repeatedly and continued to be confronted whenever he stepped outside the ring. That included when he tossed Owens to the outside and Black stepped in his way, not allowing him to follow up on the attack. Rollins finally started to get something going after a chop block to the knee of Owens and a suicide dive to the outside. Owens hit a superkick and a big DDT for a two count after his comeback. Rollins hit a Flatliner into the turnbuckle and then a blockbuster for his own near fall moments later. Rollins eventually gouged the eyes of Owens. But, before he could capitalize, Rollins was distracted by all three men at ringside climbing onto the apron. This allowed Owens to hit a stunner for the victory. After the match, Mysterio got on the mic and promised to make a sacrifice of his own, saying Rollins would leave their match with only one eye. Rollins and Owens continue to have great chemistry and there were fantastic story beats for the larger angle throughout the match. Grade: B+

Randy Orton def. R-Truth (c) via pinfall in a non-title match: Before the match, Big Show confronted Ric Flair backstage, with Flair trying to convince Show to stay out of Orton's way and covering their long history together. Show said he knows what Flair is trying to do, but it wouldn't work on him. Show asked Flair if he was willing to sacrifice his friendships just so Orton can return to being The Legend Killer. Orton then cut a promo after a video package covering his history of taking out WWE legends. Orton laid out everything he did to Edge, Christian and now his issues with Show. Orton explained that Show was one of the men who showed him how the business worked when he was a young wrestler. He also laid out a threat to Flair, saying it would be a shame if Flair stepped out of line in any way. This was fantastic work from everyone involved across the two segments.

After Truth was in the ring, Flair said that Orton loves him, so he won't punt him, but will just give him the RKO. After the bell rang, Truth asked Orton to wait, saying he needed to talk to Flair. Orton tried to jump Truth from behind but Truth fired back with a series of punches. Orton then quickly countered into an RKO for the win. As Orton and Flair were about to leave, Orton got "that look" on his face and moved Flair out of his way, lining up Truth for a punt. Big Show's music hit and he started to walk to the ring. Orton told him to stop or he would kick Truth's head off. Orton then told Show that the punt was meant for him and challenged him to an unsanctioned match on next week's Raw. The Orton promo was good, but the interaction between Show and Flair may have been the highlight of the entire show. The match itself was nothing, but set up a big match for next week, which is always agood thing. Grade: B+

Bobby Lashley def. Ricochet via submission: Lashley hit a dominator for a near fall before Ricochet made a big comeback, including a standing shooting star press. A back handspring by Ricochet was caught by Lashley and he locked in a full nelson for the quick submission win. As Lashley kept the hold locked in, Cedric Alexander ran in to make the save. After a brief big of offense, Alexander ended up in the full nelson also, before Lashley turned it into a big slam, giving Lashley another dominant showing. Lashley and MVP have been a great pairing, but it feels like it's time to expand The Hurt Business, not just tease it with MVP handing out offers to the likes of Alexander and Apollo Crews. Grade: C+

Women's Tag Team Championship -- Sasha Banks & Bayley (c) def. The Kabuki Warriors via submission to retain the titles: Banks and Bayley replayed the video package they debuted last week before the Warriors came to the ring. When Asuka and Kairi Sane entered the ring, Banks and Bayley tried to jump them, but were quickly taken out. After the match began, the champions isolated Asuka. That didn't last long before Asuka made the hot tag to Sane, who immediately cleaned house. The champs eventually made the comeback, this time isolating Sane from her corner. A late match scramble kicked in when Asuka got back in the match, eventually locking Banks in the Asuka lock before Banks managed to roll and get her feet on the ropes. Sane got a blind tag, allowing a series of kicks before Sane hit the diving elbow on Banks, but Bayley made the save. Moments later, Banks managed to catch a sliding clothesline attempt to lock in the Banks Statement on Sane for the submission to retain the titles. This was a very good match with an excellent finish with Banks' smooth transition to the Banks Statement. Grade: A-
