What to Know
After three games on the road, the Incarnate Word Cardinals are heading back home. They and the Trinity (TX) Tigers will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday at Alice P. McDermott Convocation Center. Both teams were wiped off the court in their previous games and will be looking to bounce back in a big way.
A win for the Cardinals just wasn't in the stars on Tuesday as the team never even grasped a temporary lead. They were pulverized by the Texas Longhorns 78-33. Guard Robert ''RJ'' Glasper wasn't much of a difference maker for Incarnate Word; Glasper finished with 13 points on 5-for-15 shooting and turned the ball over four times in his 29 minutes on the court.
Meanwhile, Trinity (TX) took a serious blow against the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners seven weeks ago, falling 97-66.
Incarnate Word simply couldn't be stopped when the teams previously met two seasons ago, as they easily beat Trinity (TX) at home 101-65. Will Incarnate Word repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
