Nebraska @ NC State
Current Records: Nebraska 5-2; NC State 5-1
What to Know
After a seven-game homestand, the Nebraska Cornhuskers will be on the road. They will take on the NC State Wolfpack at 7:15 p.m. ET Wednesday at PNC Arena. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.
Nebraska didn't have too much trouble with the South Dakota Coyotes at home this past Saturday as they won 83-70. The Cornhuskers' guard Keisei Tominaga looked sharp as he shot 5-for-6 from beyond the arc and finished with 23 points. Tominaga hadn't helped his team much against the Tennessee State Tigers last Tuesday, so this was a nice turnaround for him. Tominaga's points were the most he has had all year.
Meanwhile, NC State was able to grind out a solid win over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs this past Saturday, winning 90-81. Forward Jericole Hellems was the offensive standout of the game for NC State, shooting 6-for-8 from downtown and finishing with 31 points.
Nebraska is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Western Illinois Leathernecks Nov. 9 easily too and instead slipped up with a 75-74. In other words, don't count NC State out just yet.
