Who's Playing

Cent. Arkansas @ North Florida

Current Records: Cent. Arkansas 6-12; North Florida 4-16

What to Know

After two games on the road, the North Florida Ospreys are heading back home. The Ospreys and the Cent. Arkansas Bears will face off in an Atlantic Sun battle at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday at UNF Arena. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

North Florida came up short against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels on Saturday, falling 67-58.

Meanwhile, Cent. Arkansas entered their matchup against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks last Tuesday without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. The Bears were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 86-81 to Jacksonville State.

North Florida is the favorite in this one, with an expected 5.5-point margin of victory. At 1-3 against the spread at home, they are no cash cow. That said, Cent. Arkansas isn't so hot on the road, where they are 3-7.

The Ospreys are now 4-16 while Cent. Arkansas sits at 6-12. A couple stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: North Florida has only been able to knock down 40.80% percent of their shots, which is the 32nd lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. Cent. Arkansas has experienced some struggles of their own as they have allowed their opponents to shoot 47.20% from the floor on average, which is the third highest shooting percentage allowed in college basketball. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
