San Diego State announced an entire brand refresh Thursday, which includes new football uniforms for the Aztecs in 2013.

You will need your photo hunt skills to recognize the difference in the Aztecs' new uniforms, but the updated football jerseys are just one part of a department-wide initiative to make the San Diego State "look" more uniform across all the school's sports.

"Today we are unveiling a brand refresh that unifies the Aztec identity and meets the needs of the changing marketplace," senior associate athletic director John David Wicker said in a release. "San Diego State athletics is asserting itself on the field and in the classroom and we needed to have a unified brand to further our goal of maintaining a national presence.

"We now have a primary logo and specific logotypes that will be used across all sports and marketing materials to build that cohesive brand message."

The update will be more noticeable in some of the other San Diego State sports, but there are a few changes to the Aztecs' football uniform. The typeface and print on the front of the uniforms is different, with "San Diego State" apparently replacing "Aztecs." The new logo also has removed "State" from the center of the interlocking SD spear.

Stefanie Loh of U-T San Diego was on hand for the new reveal and posted a comparison photo for the helmets. Check that out below, along with a photo of quarterback Adam Dingwell from 2012 for reference on the uniform update.
