Nimmo is out of the lineup for Friday's game at Cincinnati, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Nimmo started the Mets' first six games of the season but will receive a day to reset after going 1-for-21 with six walks during that stretch. Tyrone Taylor will take over in left field while Francisco Lindor moves up to the leadoff spot.
