Tanaka went five innings with five strikeouts and three runs allowed in a no-decision in Saturday's loss to the Orioles.

Tanaka left the game in line for the win, but even still it was a less-than-inspiring performance from the ace. After being hit hard on Opening Day, the 28-year-old needed 92 pitches just to get through five innings and struggled with command en route to walking four and hitting a pair of batters. It's been an uncharacteristically poor start, especially after a stellar spring, but Tanaka will get the chance to bounce back when he toes the rubber Thursday against the Tampa Bay squad that scored seven times against him last week.
