Hommes was waived by the Pelicans on Tuesday, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.
In a corresponding move, the Pelicans signed Jared Harper to a two-way contract to fill the roster void that Hommes' departure left. The 25-year-old Hommes suffered a right fibula stress fracture at the beginning of November and has been sidelined since. He has yet to make his NBA debut.
