Ahcan's demotion could be a sign that Samuel Girard (personal) will be back with the team ahead of Wednesday's matchup with Vancouver. In the minors, the 26-year-old Ahcan has recorded one goal and five assists in 14 games for the Eagles but hasn't featured in an NHL contest since 2021-22 when he was with Boston.
