Mitchell notched an assist and two PIM in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes.
Mitchell had the secondary helper on Alex DeBrincat's third-period marker. The 22-year-old Mitchell now has seven points and 36 blocked shots in 37 contests. He's unlikely to move up beyond a third-pairing role in the Blackhawks' last three games of the season.
