Larsson (lower body) underwent a sports hernia surgery Thursday, Arizona Coyotes Insider Craig Morgan reports.
Larsson is expected to miss a minimum of eight weeks while recovering from the surgery. This would put him on track to return in early April, but the Coyotes' poor position in the standings suggests they won't rush the Swedish center back. Larsson has amassed 15 points in 29 games this season. Alex Galchenyuk and Travis Boyd will likely maintain top-six spots in the lineup.
