Ginning was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Although Ginning will head to the minors for now, he could be back with the big club ahead of Thursday's game versus Toronto. The 24-year-old defender made his NHL season debut last Thursday versus Florida, racking up five hits in 18:11 of ice time.
