The former Flames netminder suffered a torn ACL and had meniscus damage after leaving a game against the Sharks upon colliding with forward Joonas Donskoi this past February, as part of the 2015-16 season. Ramo reportedly has ties with Leafs GM Lou Lamoriello, which explains how he made his way into a practice with the club. We're barely over a month into the season, yet a few teams could already use extra insurance between posts -- Arizona and Los Angeles come to mind -- making it disconcerting that Ramo hasn't found work. It remains to be seen if he will earn an extended look in Toronto.
