Santini was placed on waivers by the Kings on Sunday, per Chris Johnston of TSN.
Santini signed a two-way deal with Los Angeles after logging an assist in four games with St. Louis last season. If he clears waivers, the 28-year-old defenseman will report to AHL Ontario, where he'll serve as organizational depth.
