Carter (upper body) won't be in the lineup versus Dallas on Friday, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.
Carter will miss his second straight game due to his upper-body issue, which will likely see Jesse Puljujarvi slot back into the lineup. Still, the veteran Carter did travel with the team for its two-game road trip and could still be an option against Colorado on Sunday.
