On Saturday, the Chicago Cubs won the National League pennant, defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-0 in Game 6 of the NLCS. As a result, the Cubs will head to Cleveland, where they'll take on the Cleveland Indians in the World Series beginning on Tuesday.
But, as it turns out, you won't have to wait until Tuesday -- or even Sunday afternoon -- to discover who the Vegas bookmakers favor. That's because they've already began to publish their odds.
Unsurprisingly, given the Cubs led the majors with 103 regular-season victories, Chicago is the favorite:

Chicago Cubs -175
Cleveland Indians +155
For those unfamiliar with how this works, the numbers above essentially mean that you'd have to place $175 on the Cubs to win $100 -- or $100 on the Indians to win $155. It's worth noting that these figures are anticipatory in nature, too -- the sportsbook is probably expecting more money on the Cubs' side and likely has a heavier tilt in their direction than their simulations would suggest.
Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean much to the average person -- or to the two teams involved -- but there you go.
