What happens when you hit 41 home runs and are named AL MVP? You get to make an appearance in popular television show, that's what.
According to a press release from the History Channel, Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson will appear in an episode of season four of their show Vikings. Here's the nuts and bolts:
Donaldson will play the role of “Hoskuld,” a Viking warrior of great skill, in an episode that will air later this year as part of the fourth season. Two-time All-Star Donaldson will film in Ireland this week. Donaldson is a massive fan of “Vikings” and recently tweeted a photo unveiling a striking, new Viking hairstyle inspired by the character “Ragnar.”
In case you missed it last month, here is Donaldson's new haircut:

Here is the trailer for season four of Vikings. The press release says Donaldson will begin filming this week, so I assume he's not hiding in the background somewhere.
Hey, being a great baseball player comes with some awesome perks. A one-episode cameo though? I wonder if Donaldson's character makes it out alive.
