The Dodgers have recalled outfielder Alex Castellanos from Triple-A Albququerque, the club announced Friday.

Castellanos appeared in 12 games for the Dodgers earlier in the season and mustered just a .394 OPS, but he starred for Albuquerque. The 26-year-old put up a .328/.420/.590 line for the Isotopes, including 17 home runs in 94 games (a 29-homer pace over 162 games).

The Pacific Coast League is a noted hitter haven, and Castellanos is old for the level. But the nature of the expanded September roster rules mean little risk for the Dodgers in adding him to their bench for the stretch run.
