Rangers outfield prospect Jairo Beras finally made his pro debut Wednesday. The 6-5, 178-pound Dominican Republic outfielder went 1 for 3 with one triple, one walk, one RBI and one run for the Arizona League Rangers (rookie).

The 17-year-old Beras agreed to a $6.5 million deal with the Rangers last year, but his arrival was delayed as MLB held up the deal over questions about his age. Beras was suspended from game activity for a year because he allegedly lied about his birthdate, according to The Dallas Morning News.
