Padres starting pitcher Cory Luebke will take five days off after an MRI on Tuesday revealed a flexor strain in his elbow, according to MLB.com. The ligament is fine and the team will re-evaluate Luebke's status after the five days of rest.
Luebke, who is working his way back from two Tommy John surgeries, has posted a 3.86 ERA in seven outings (three starts) in the minors this season. He has four strikeouts and four walks in seven innings.
