LeBron James is enjoying another milestone Thursday as he celebrates his 37th birthday. James is currently embarking on his 19th NBA season and fourth as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. Through 24 games this season, James is averaging 28 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.5 steals while shooting 36.9 percent from beyond the arc. His 28 points per game average is the most by any player age 37 or older in league history.

The Lakers star has been playing some of his best basketball of the season as of late. Over the past six games, James has put together averages of 34.8 points, 10.3 rebounds and 6.5 assists while shooting 40.4 percent from 3-point range.

Entering Thursday, James has 14 30-point games this season, the most by any player in the league, including Stephen Curry (13), Kevin Durant (13) and Trae Young (13).

James has certainly had to pick up some of the scoring slack for the Lakers with star big man Anthony Davis out of the lineup. Davis is currently dealing with a knee injury and is slated to miss at least three more weeks.

Here's a look at some of James' major accomplishments throughout his career:

  • 4-time NBA champion
  • 4-time NBA Finals MVP
  • 4-time regular-season MVP
  • 17 All-Star Game appearances
  • 13-time All-NBA First Team
  • 5-time All-NBA Defensive First Team
  • 2008 scoring leader

Over the course of his 19-year NBA career, James has had so many accolades both from an individual and team standpoints. It's honestly hard to believe that James has been around for so long and seems to have several more seasons left in the tank playing at a high level.

Here's to hoping that James has many more birthdays as an active NBA player.
