Jaulon Clavo was a funny kid, a starting cornerback at his high school, and "the flyest," his friends said. Clavo, a senior at Grant High School in Sacramento, was killed in a shooting Friday night that injured another student. As a community mourns and tries to understand a tragedy, Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is doing what he can to help Clavo's family.

Sacramento Kings star player Demarcus Cousins offered to pay for funeral services for Grant Union varsity football player Jaulon Clavo, who was shot and killed while driving to a team meeting on Friday.Sacramento City Council member Rick Jennings made the announcement Saturday night.
Cousins is known for occasionally attending local high school football and basketball games, and has gone to past Grant Union football games.

That this move of kindness comes the same week that there's been so much drama with the Kings should not be overlooked. However many times he blows up at a coach, or loses his mind to an official, or is embroiled in controversy with teammates or coaches, you cannot overlook Cousins' class and commitment to the community.
