Kentucky coach John Calipari took to Twitter on Tuesday to deny his interest in becoming the next coach of the Pelicans

"Even though Anthony [Davis] and Tyreke [Evans] are in NOLA, I have no interest in the Pelicans or any other job. I have a great job and I'm happy at UK," Calipari said on Twitter.

The Pelicans recently fired Monty Williams after he guided them to the playoffs for the first time since 2011. Calipari coached Pelicans All-Star center Anthony Davis while Davis attended Kentucky for one season and Calipari was reportedly interested in the team's coaching vacancy, a source told The Times-Picayune.

Calipari coached the Nets from 1996 to 1999 and was an assistant coach on the 76ers for one season.

The Pelicans have reportedly met with Warriors assistant coach Alvin Gentry to discuss the coaching vacancy.
