With his third 3-pointer against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry passed his father, Dell Curry, on the NBA's all-time 3-point field goal list. He tied Dell's total with the 1,245th 3-pointer of his career in the second quarter and surpassed him in the third quarter.

The reigning MVP is now 41st all-time in 3s made, tied with the recently retired Hedo Turkoglu. The most impressive part is that he's reached this mark in just 427 career games, while it took Dell 1,083 games to make 1,245 3-pointers.

This says a lot about how the game has changed, and it's also representative of just how unprecedented Stephen's dominance is. Dell was considered a great 3-point shooter, and he averaged just 2.9 3-point attempts per game in his career. This season, Stephen is averaging 11 3-pointers a game, and he's making 47 percent of them.
