After playing with the Miami Heat for 24 games last season, and with no other NBA teams calling, Michael Beasley signed a contract in September with the Shandong Golden Stars of the Chinese Basketball Association to continue his basketball career. A talented scorer, Beasley is averaging 31.5 points for the Golden Stars and not only made the league's All-Star Game, he took home MVP honors.
Beasley recorded a triple-double in the game, finishing with 63 points, 19 rebounds and 13 assists. Sure, it was in an All-Star Game in China, but 63 points is still 63 points, and it set a new CBA record for the game.
Here are highlights from Beasley's MVP peformance:
This is the second CBA All-Star Game MVP award Beasley has won. Last year, he won the award after scoring a then-record 59 points.
