Fresh off the Wednesday introduction of Chip Kelly as new coach of the 49ers, the team is already making moves to raise eyebrows around the league, signing former Canadian Football League star Eric Rogers.

Rogers, a wide receiver for the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL, had multiple tryouts with NFL teams (reportedly 16 different visits) before eventually signing with San Francisco according to multiple reports.

Rogers' contract, according to ESPN and NFL Network, is a two-year deal including a signing bonus of  $125,000. 

The 6-foot-3 wide receiver attended Division III Cal Lutheran in college. In his second season with Calgary, Rogers caught 87 passes for 1,448 yards and 10 touchdowns.
