Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams has, at times, voiced some questionable takes -- like the time he tried to argue that Tom Brady is the only Patriot who's a fan of Bill Belichick. But last week, Williams provided a take that hopefully shouldn't generate much controversy.

Williams is passionately opposed to participation awards. So, he took a bold stand against them by forcing his daughter to return a participation ribbon. In doing so, he says he's trying to fight back against something called the "the entitlement age."

I'll let Williams explain because he actually put a decent amount of thought into his dislike of participation awards.

So, it's worth pointing out that Williams' approach worked! His daughter responded by taking first place in her next race.

Maybe he's onto something.

So, that's some next level coaching method Williams used to motivate his daughter. His takes on Belichick might be off, but -- like Belichick -- he gets results.
