NHL previews: Atlantic Division | Metropolitan Division | Central Division | Pacific Division

You likely know about the top picks in this past summer's draft, guys like Nathan MacKinnon, Jonathan Drouin and Seth Jones but what about the Stars' top pick Valeri Nichushkin ?

The kid has immense talent and it was a mystery why he fell to the Stars at No. 10. OK, mystery solved: He's Russian. The Russian Factor scared some away from him but all the other teams' loss appears to be Dallas' gain. Check out what Nichushkin did on Thursday night (near the end of the highlights above) against the Avs in a preseason game.

It's not quite coast to coast but from his own blue line up the boards and to the crease to finish it off, Bobby Orr style? That's a heck of a rush up ice.

Earlier this preseason, Nichushkin also had this goal on a breakaway. His speed allowed him enough time to slow down and really make no move at all and still fake out the goaltender.

This likely won't be the last we see of Nichushkin this season in Dallas.
