The 2018-19 NHL season heads into its third weekend of the year on Saturday and it figures to be a wild day for NHL DFS tournaments and cash games with a nine-game main slate beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET. Stars like Maple Leafs center John Tavares and Bruins winger Brad Marchand will be in action, and setting optimal NHL DFS lineups will require a perfect blend of stars and more cost-efficient options. That's why you'll want to take a look at DFS expert Mike McClure's NHL DFS picks before you set you make any decisions for Saturday night.

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He's also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account. This allows him to find the best NHL DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They're a must-see for any NHL DFS player.

On Friday, McClure recommended Capitals winger Jakub Vrana on FanDuel. The result? He had a goal and an assist and returned nearly 6x value for FanDuel players. Anybody who played him was well on their way to a profitable night

For Saturday, McClure loves Sharks center Logan Couture at $6,800 on FanDuel and $6,600 on DraftKings.

Couture skates on the second line for the Sharks, but also plays on the top power-play line where he gets extra scoring opportunities. Just like on Thursday night, when he scored a power-play goal on his way to a hat trick and a nearly 8x return on FanDuel (he was in McClure's lineup that night too).

Couture is usually at his best in cross-conference matchups with his shooting percentage jumping from 12 percent to 14 percent when playing against the East. So a matchup against the Islanders, who he has five goals and two assists against in 11 career games, should bode well.

McClure is also high on Bruins center Patrice Bergeron at $8,000 on FanDuel and $7,300 on DraftKings.

Bergeron has long been one of the best two-way forwards in the NHL. This season, he's also been a DFS hero. With 13 points in his first seven games and at least 24 points on FanDuel in five games already, he's worth the price on Saturday night.

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to go off for big numbers because of a dream matchup, and he comes at a price that will leave plenty of salary cap flexibility. Picks like these could be the difference between winning your cash games and tournaments or going home with nothing.
