    Huska signed a one-year contract with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the KHL on Tuesday. Huska spent most of last season with AHL Hartford logging a 2.80 GAA and a .902 save percentage. The 25-year-old is an unrestricted free agent in North America, and given his age, it's possible he could play his way back into earning at least a two-way contract at some point.

In his lone NHL appearance, Huska was less than impressive, giving up seven goals on 39 shots in a losing effort against Colorado. The seventh-round pick from 2015 isn't likely to be on the Rangers' roster much longer -- Igor Shesterkin (lower body) is expected back as soon as Friday's game versus the Sabres. Even if Shesterkin isn't ready then, Huska would likely be backing up Alexandar Georgiev.
