The Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawks are staying on the road Wednesday to face off against the George Washington Colonials at noon ET Dec. 22 at Charles E. Smith Center. George Washington will be strutting in after a victory while the Hawks will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Maryland-Eastern Shore received a tough blow on Monday as they fell 70-54 to the Charlotte 49ers.
Meanwhile, George Washington beat the Radford Highlanders 67-58 last week. George Washington relied on the efforts of guard James Bishop, who had 21 points, and forward Ricky Lindo Jr., who posted a double-double on 14 boards and ten points along with three blocks. Bishop's performance made up for a slower contest against the Coppin State Eagles two weeks ago.
Maryland-Eastern Shore have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 10 point spread they are up against. Those burned by picking them against the spread on Monday might want to keep in mind that the team has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.
