Who's Playing

Louisville @ Syracuse

Current Records: Louisville 11-11; Syracuse 11-11

What to Know

After a two-game homestand, the Louisville Cardinals will be on the road. U of L and the Syracuse Orange will face off in an ACC battle at 2 p.m. ET Saturday at Carrier Dome. 'Cuse will be strutting in after a win while the Cardinals will be stumbling in from a loss.

U of L came up short against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Tuesday, falling 90-83. Guard Noah Locke had a pretty forgettable game, finishing with only eight points on 2-for-10 shooting in his 32 minutes on the court.

Meanwhile, 'Cuse beat the NC State Wolfpack 89-82 on Wednesday. 'Cuse's success was spearheaded by the efforts of center Jesse Edwards, who had 19 points along with six rebounds and three blocks, and guard Joseph Girard III, who had 18 points and eight assists.

The Cardinals are expected to lose this next one by 7.5. Those sticking with them against the spread have guts, to put it politely, as the team has let down bettors in their past four games.

Louisville's defeat took them down to 11-11 while Syracuse's victory pulled them up to 11-11. If the Orange want to win, they will need to focus on stopping U of L's guard El Ellis, who shot 5-for-11 from downtown and finished with 25 points, and forward Matt Cross, who posted a double-double on 15 boards and 13 points. We'll see whether or not they are up to the challenge.
