Dave Rice and the UNLV Runnin' Rebels continue to load up, and the latest addition is UConn transfer Roscoe Smith.

Smith's father told CBSSports.com that his son committed to UNLV on Friday.

Since taking over for Lon Kruger, Rice and his staff have done an impressive job assembling talent.

The Rebels have a strong core back for this season -- led by Mike Moser, Anthony Marshall and Justin Hawkins. They also added two transfers in Bryce Jones (USC) and Khem Birch (Pittsburgh) and will bring in a strong freshman class led by Anthony Bennett and Katin Reinhardt.

That's a team that could make a deep run in the NCAA tournament.

The roster is strong for this season but is also set up to sustain it beyond this year. The Runnin' Rebs will lose Marshall, Hawkins and maybe Moser after this season, but in 2013-14 they will still boast a group that includes Jones, Reinhardt, Bennett, Birch and now Smith.
