A look at what's making headlines around the SEC on Saturday morning:
- Missouri freshman RB Russell Hansbrough has been impressive in camp. He did enough in Thursday's scrimmage (6 carries, 39 yards, 1 TD), that he saw some snaps with the first team in Friday's practice.
- Auburn defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder is close to settling on a starting lineup, but he's look for more aggression from his defense. "We've been in that battle of read-kind of style as opposed to an attacking transition," he said.
- Kentucky reserve S Glenn Faulkner could be out as long as eight weeks after having surgery to insert a screw in his ankle. The Wildcats are already thin in the secondary after starting CB Marcus Caffey was ruled ineligible for the season.
- Coach Kevin Sumlin wants the second and third units to get a majority of the snaps in Saturday's scrimmage. Building a complete two deep is a priority before the Aggies face Louisiana Tech on Aug. 30.
- CBSSports.com draft analyst Rob Rang takes a look at Florida's draft-eligible prospects. DT Sharrif Floyd, S Matt Elam and LB Jelani Jenkins are among the prospects most likely to be picked in the 2013 draft.
