Gamel was non-tendered by the Brewers on Wednesday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
The 28-year-old got off to a strong start in 2020 but failed to take advantage of the absence of Lorenzo Cain (opt out) and had a .719 OPS and 30.7 percent strikeout rate. Gamel should compete for a job as a reserve outfielder, wherever he lands.
