Jimenez signed a minor league contract with the Brewers on Monday that includes an invitation to spring training.

It appeared that Jimenez was planning to leave the majors for a chance to play a more prominent role in an Italian baseball league, but he now has the choice to stick with the Brewers and possibly make the major league roster. He spent much of 2015 splitting time between the Phillies and their Triple-A affiliate, but he posted a 3.66 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 9.6 K/9 after being claimed off waivers by the Brewers. Seeing as the Brewers currently have one left-hander manning their bullpen, Jimenez has a good shot at making a contribution for the Brewers if he decides to stay in the states.
