Alvarez signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Sunday.
The right-hander was most recently part of the Red Sox organization, attending summer camp with the club in 2020 before being released from the alternate training site in August. After sitting out spring training, Alvarez is now ready to continue his career with Milwaukee. Alvarez, who last appeared in the big leagues with Oakland in 2015, will likely be ticketed for a spot in the bullpen at Triple-A Nashville.
