The Cubs outrighted Estrada to Triple-A Iowa on Thursday, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports.
Estrada was lit up for eight earned runs on 12 hits and 12 walks over 10.2 major-league innings this season. The 25-year-old right-hander no longer holds a 40-man roster spot in Chicago.
