Lester (9-7) allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out four batters through five innings during Saturday's win over Atlanta.

While this wasn't a strong showing from the veteran, Lester went five innings and collected the win, so it wasn't a complete bust. The 33-year-old veteran sports a 4.46 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 9.3 K/9 for the campaign, but it's worth noting that he posted respectable 3.84, 1.11 and 10.1 marks through his 12 starts before sustaining a shoulder injury Aug. 17. Overall, it's been a mediocre season for Lester, but a strong September could have a big impact on his final stat line. He lines up to face the Pirates at PNC Park in his next start.
