Morgan (elbow) was outrighted off the Phillies' 40-man roster Thursday, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports.
Morgan posted a 5.54 ERA in 13 innings of relief for the Phillies this season before landing on the injured list with shoulder fatigue. After the season, he wound up requiring surgery for an elbow injury. That pair of injuries plus his mediocre 4.84 career ERA mean he won't be a particularly attractive option should he wind up becoming a free agent.
