The Rays called up pitcher Everett Teaford from Triple-A Durham on Saturday.

Teaford was 1-1 with a 4.20 ERA at Durham this season. He hasn't pitched in the Majors since he was with Kansas City in 2013.

To make room on the roster for Teaford on the 40-man roster, the Rays designated first baseman Allan Dykstra for assignment.

Dykstra hit .129 in 31 at bats for the Rays this season.
