Pineda (4-2) allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings in Wednesday 11-7 win over the Royals.

The Yankees had piled up 10 runs by the fifth inning, allowing Pineda to cruise to an easy victory despite throwing only 57 of his 98 pitches for strikes. The 28-year-old righty has now provided three straight quality starts, although he needed to work through a couple of errors from Chase Headley to get there Wednesday. His 55:8 K:BB in 47.1 innings on the season remains elite. Pineda will get to face Kansas City's struggling offense again at home Monday.
