Weems had not played in more than three minutes in any of the previous six games for the Suns, which makes this move not all that surprising. Weems averaged 2.5 points, 1.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.4 threes in 12 minutes per game this season. It is currently unclear where he will end up following this move, as well as who the Suns will choose to replace him on the roster.
