The Texans promoted President from their practice squad Wednesday, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports.
He's set to take the roster spot of fellow linebacker Ben Heeney, who was placed on injured reserve Wednesday with an unspecified injury. Like Heeney, the expectation is that President will see most of his snaps on special teams.
