Avalanche's Shane Bowers: Elevated to roster

Bowers was promoted from the taxi squad to the main roster Monday, Adrian Dater of Colorado Hockey Now reports.

Bowers was added to the regular roster after the team learned Nathan MacKinnon (lower body) would miss multiple games. In addition to MacKinnon, the Avalanche are missing forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare (knee). Presumably, Bowers will be available for Tuesday's game against the Wild.
