Connolly joined Chicago's active roster and will be in the lineup Friday versus Colorado, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports.
Connolly will skate for the Blackhawks just two days after they waived him. The 27-year-old doesn't figure to get playing time once Jujhar Khaira (back) returns to the lineup soon.
