Svedberg was assigned to AHL Rockford on Sunday, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
When the defenseman was pulled up, it seemed like he'd only be up for Saturday's preseason finale, and sure enough he was sent back down on Sunday. Svedberg could end up back in Chicago at some point, but for now, he'll start the year in Rockford.
