Montreal acquired Allard from Los Angeles on Friday in exchange for forward Nate Schnarr.
Allard has accounted for two goals, five assists and 30 PIM in 35 AHL games this season. The 25-year-old defenseman skated in one game with Nashville during the 2020-21 campaign.
